I recently stayed at Arthouse in Launceston for the MONA FOMA Festival. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the festival hub. The hostel itself is in a lovely old heritage building with lots of character. The staff were friendly and helpful, even when we arrived late for check-in. The showers and toilets were clean and in good working order. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The wifi was consistently reliable, and the towels provided were soft. great value for money and a friendly atmosphere.
I recommend this hotel.

The location is great, with a lovely historical building and a good central area. the third-floor rooms are fantastic, warm, spacious, with lots of plug sockets and comfy beds. the bathrooms on the top floor are clean and well-maintained.
The lack of cleanliness in some areas, such as the kitchen and bathrooms, is a downside.

I had a great time staying at this hostel! the staff were friendly and always ready to help. the room I stayed in was bright and had a large window and balcony, which was a nice addition. the heaters in the room were a lifesaver during the cold weather. the bathroom was well-equipped with hooks and a shelf in the shower, making it convenient to store my toiletries. the location of the hostel was also great, with only a 10-minute walk to the center of town. Plus, the reliable WiFi and other facilities provided everything I needed.
There were a couple of things that could have been improved. the kitchen wasn't very clean, with dishes and counters often left dirty after cooking.

The location of this hostel is ideal, as it is within walking distance of a conference site and also convenient for getting to the airport. the beds in the rooms were clean and relatively comfortable. Some guests enjoyed the aromas from the food cooked by other guests, adding to the cultural atmosphere.
The cleanliness of the kitchen was an issue, with old food and general disrepair. there were instances of doors being opened by staff without proper explanation, which invaded guests' privacy.

the hostel in launceston exceeded my expectations. the beautiful victorian building, comfy beds, and clean bathrooms were perfect. the location by the river made it a pleasant stroll into the main city. pete, the staff, went above and beyond to accommodate us, making our stay even better.
Shower availability was limited.

The location was ideal, just a short walk to the town center. The kitchen, lounge areas, rooms, and bathrooms were all spacious and clean. We especially appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. Despite a minor issue with the hot water taking a few minutes to come, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. we would recommend this hostel.

I recently stayed at a great value accommodation near the centre of town. The Arthouse ticked all the usual boxes for a hostel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were excellent. I particularly loved the spacious living room and dining room, which had plenty of space to work or relax. The kitchen was also clean and well-equipped. My room on the top floor was beautiful, with comfortable beds and great views. The atmosphere was friendly and I would definitely stay again!
Nothing I didn't like to be fair. 🤷♀️

The hostel had a great location with a balcony that offered a lovely view. The building itself had character and was an old heritage building. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing clear instructions and prompt responses to my queries.
Cleanliness was an issue during my stay. The bathroom and kitchen were not very clean, with dirty plates left in the sinks and hair in the bathroom sinks.
